SSBRM Receives Prism Privacy Plus Certification

(Tampa, FL) – Stevens & Stevens Business Records Management, Inc. (SSBRM) has received a Prism Privacy Plus certification based on an independent audit of physical, administrative, and technology criteria in the records management industry. Stevens & Stevens is a full-service records storage and information management center, serving the Southeastern U.S.

This industry certification uses the Standard of Attestation Engagements (SSAE 16) audit process to determine qualifications and required an independent audit by a certified public accountant. Kirkpatrick and Price, a CPA firm specializing in security and information controls, conducted the audits required for the certification.
Stevens & Stevens’ securely collects and destroys sensitive information, whether it’s paper, magnetic media, tapes or film. Stevens & Stevens offers a full line of shredding services including locked, Secure Destruction Containers, scheduled pick-up and drop-off services.
To complete the certification, Stevens & Stevens underwent a thorough, company-wide audit which reviewed company policies, procedures, employment records, equipment and security. The audit examined critical areas of data security including building facility access, vendor screening, and employee background checks and drug testing.
